It's a Love Fest

There is something profoundly disturbing in that picture. Sorry. If I find that image offensive, does that mean Waldo will censor this post from the aggregator?

At least it hasn't been beheaded -- because Muslims don't run our country yet. If the Muslims from the middle east DO manage to become citizens and take over our country, we won't have to worry about pictures of Beheadings, we'll be able to witness them firsthand.

If there weren't a certain 'truce in place' right now, I'd like to offer up a few candidates to go negotiate with.....

I'll stop now :-)

BTW, the idea of a "truce in place", and in fact the concept that this whole incident is really much more than an idle curiosity, is beyond my feeble grasp.

I simply do not see this blogging issue as some earth-shattering event. In fact, I was laughing when I read Shaun's post earlier about how the MSM would be covering this story -- because I could not imagine the MSM would care less about this, because it wasn't really news, or earth-shattering, or anything of importance.

I guess I still think blogs are overrated.

I believe the left has far greater plans for the internet, and they use it for great effect, and frankly we on the right participate in a most unknowing and unwitting way.

The left does not use the internet as a way to spread truth or debate issues. One needs to do no more than post a real recitation of fact over at NLS to see what the left considers "reasoned discussion".

The left uses the internet to convince an already willing media of the importance of "issues" that are not issues at all (like "macaca"). You won't likely see the left pull off a coup like the Dan Rather expose. They are more likely to post trashy hit pieces on what they call "16-year-old" bloggers, when they aren't launching anti-semitic tirades against people like their own 2000 Vice Presidential candidate.

The ODBA is a group lead by a five egos. You know the five. Because the five are neither a true friend or a downright enemy to the conservatives and tried to appear neutral and befriend both the right and left at the same time; they found themselves in a quite precarious spot.

As that may be, it would have been more advantageous for them to declare themselves conservatives and not post “I Support Waldo” graphics on their blogs and to declare war with the Democrats rather then protect their egos.

As a result, in the future, Democrats will have no reason to protect the five and will attack them when the time is right. Because the five did not declare themselves true conservatives, and when they have fallen prey to the Democrats, it will be to the pleasure and satisfaction of the conservatives who have been "sold out."

Because he who conquers does not want doubtful friends who will not aid him in the time of trial; and he who loses will not harbour doubtful friends because doubtful friends did not willingly, sword in hand, court his fate; the traitor has no friend and is not to be trusted. Shame on the five.

I didn't used to think of the ODBA as a republican thing, or even clearly a conservative thing. I thought it was simply well-written Virginia blogs.

Most were conservative, but I thought that was just because conservatives write better and make more sense, so of course they would be over-represented in a list of superior blogs.
