Study: Children raised by Gays 7 times more likely to be Gay

A doctor doing analysis of studies performed in the last decade of children raised in homosexual households discovers a "hidden" statistic supporting an obvious observation: such children are much more likely to have homosexual encounters than the general population.

Dr. Trayce Hansen, Phd, makes this discovery public in a recent column "Pro-Homosexual Researchers Conceal Findings: Children Raised by Openly Homosexual Parents More Likely to Engage in Homosexuality":

Research by social scientists, although not definitive, suggests that children reared by openly homosexual parents are far more likely to engage in homosexual behavior than children raised by others. Studies thus far find between 8% and 21% of homosexually parented children ultimately identify as non-heterosexual. For comparison purposes, approximately 2% of the general population are non-heterosexual. Therefore, if these percentages continue to hold true, children of homosexuals have a 4 to 10 times greater likelihood of developing a non-heterosexual preference than other children.

Dr. Hansen goes on to point out ways that the various researchers tried to bury this information, since it goes against the public message that homosexual couples are just as good for children as biological families, and that homosexuality is a genetic predisposition, not something that could be induced by environment.

But if true, this analysis of studies would blow a hole in that theory, showing instead that encouraging homosexual acceptance will in fact encourage homosexual behavior among children who would otherwise live an exclusive heterosexual lifestyle.

Along with other recent studies showing that any genetic component of homosexuality can only account for about 10 percent of homosexuality, it is now becoming clear that Americans have been sold a bill of goods by the homosexual lobby in their push to justify and "normalize" nontraditional, nonreproductive sexual activities.

Regardless, no one should be surprised that homosexual parents are more likely to raise homosexual children. As one of the few forthright pro-homosexual advocates proclaimed, "Of course our children are going to be different."

You would expect that children raised in a homosexual household would be more accepting of homosexual activity, since they would naturally want to believe their parents are normal and acceptable.

And in fact, the insistance that being gay was something you were born with and couldn't be taught was so ingrained that most people arguing against gay couples adopting children focused on the serious deficiency of children raised with only one gender of parent.

Findings from the best and most recent twin studies have found that homosexuality, unlike eye color, is not genetically-caused. But there are a number of non-genetic mechanisms through which homosexuality could be transmitted from one generation to the next. Those mechanisms include role-modeling, social learning and differential reinforcement, as well as outright encouragement of non-heterosexuality by parents or others.

It is one thing to argue that two consenting adults, who desire to have a non-traditional relationship, should have the right to do so without interference by the government. It is another to argue that gay couples have a natural right to impose their sexual preference on children through the act of adoption.

I just don't understand why I should care in the slightest bit what gender someone else chooses to have sex with. If some kid grows up to be gay, why should that matter to me? He or she is no less likely to be a productive member of society. There is no compelling reason for government intervention in this.

Now I get that you think its 'icky.' Well, yeah I know what you mean. But I also think that eating snails is icky and I don't go around flipping out over the fact that some people eat escargot. You and everyone else will be much happier if you just roll your eyes at gay people instead of lecturing about them, and devote your attentions to something more clearly pressing, like abortion or AIDS or something like that.

A) The "doctor" who authored the study has written extensively about his anti-homosexual world view

B) He states 2% of population is non-hetero, which is a baseless figure. It's closer to 4%, probably more. Certainly more if you include bi-sexual as non-hetero.

C) His own wording is: "Research by social scientists, although not definitive, suggests"

The perspective and conclusion of your blog post is absolutely baseless, biased BS.

Do you know any gay parents? One of the strongest, most loving and supportive families in my church consists of 6 children of a lesbian couple. Your hatred is based on ignorance.

Jack,

I don't want government intervention either. But if you support government changing the definition of marriage to include same-sex couples, that's government intervention in a definition that has served society well for thousands of years.

Anon,

Your "hate" speech has no effect here. We discuss issues using facts, and express opinions based on those and other facts.

Bring some facts, explain why the posted article is incorrect, add to the discussion.

I know teens who have been great single moms, but that doesn't mean I support encouraging single teen parenting as something government should encourage.

In this case, we are discussing the study conclusions that children of gay parents are more likely to be gay, which contradicts the claims by gay advocates that being gay is something you are born with and have no choice about.

If there was no choice, there would be no difference in the sexual preference of adopted children of gay and normal couples. But this study shows there is. Discuss.

Anon 1 (previous comment was for Anon 2, and I wish you could at least make up names for yourselves):

Thanks for addressing the article.

Resarch by social scientists based on subsets of population is never conclusive, although many researches will claim it is. This particular researcher is simply telling the truth.

The two percent figure is not something pulled out of thin air. A likely non-partisan source, Ask Yahoo gives several answers, noting the government gives a number of 2.5-3 percent, and comparing couples, about 1.6 percent of couples are gay.

The comparison of couples would limit the difficulty of identifying the primary sexuality of people who experiment with different sexual partnerships.

If we suppose your 4% number is correct, we are still left with children of homosexual parents being over 3 times as likely to be gay as kids with normal parents, which still suggests homosexuality is based as much as choice and conditioning.

Anon 2 at 1.06pm,

No-one is being hateful. It is your words that express hate. It is you that is hateful. You demand acceptance of your differences yet you yourself cannot accept others who hold views different to you!

Many pro-hetero people, quite rightly, have concerns about homosexuality, especially when children are concerned. The article suggests that homosexuality is not hereditary, and suggests it is more environmental. I suspected as much. Initially, many G&L people have experienced some trauma in their upbringing. It would appear to me that G&L is more a condition that needs healing and not exacerbating.

@ Charles

If you dont want government intervention in "changing the definition of marriage" then I don't want government intervention in upholding the definition of marriage either. Let's abolish legal recognition of marriage altogether along with all its benefits. You want to call yourselves married fine. Your church, corporation, etc. wants to provide you with "marriage benefits" fine. But get the government out of it for both opposite-sex and same-sex couples.

The study is essentially making a circular argument. Gay is wrong because it leads you to raising kids who are more likely to be gay which is a bad thing because gay is wrong.

The problem is that if there is nothing wrong with being gay then it doesn't matter if the kids are more likely to grow up to be gay or not. If they grow up to be gay so what?
