Its a bad idea to have a President who lives exclusively in the bubble. <br /><br />Regular Americans go out on a date with their wives now and then. They go out for a burger. They do some sightseeing when they travel. If our President stops doing those things, then he lives in a White House cocoon of isolation. Over the course of a few years, he would become totally out of touch with American culture and life. <br /><br />When Obama goes out to the theater or a basketball game, he doesn't allow the Secret Service to keep everyone away from him. I've seen articles describing all sorts of people coming up to him and asking him questions or stating their grievances. And he has to respond to them. We need this to happen, and it won't happen if he never gets out and about. Obama should periodically be confronted by people like you who disagree with him. <br /><br />This was a big mistake that both Bush and Clinton made. Allowing themselves to get wrapped up the cocoon and losing touch with American culture.
